How the heck do you beat gauntlets?
I've got about 110 hours, so I'm not new new but not a pro either (highest elo about 1470). Anyway, I main Ragnir and now playing Vraxx

Those damn gauntlets almost always get me. There's some stupid string where you do about 50 attacks and it gimps you

I can sometimes dodge out of it (so not a true combo, I know) but damn this move just feels OP. Only weapon that makes me wanna screen-punch (tho scythe is on my hate list too)

The best counter to a stringy weapon is a solid internet connection. Skipping some frames due to lag WILL make it impossible to get out of certain strings.

Your best bet is to play a lot against those two weapons, to learn wich dodge directions are less punishable.

You should also learn how to space around gauntlet, it's tricky since gauntlet has a lot of "dashes", wich makes it hit surprisingly far. However, it still a short reach, so if you can properly predict it, you can hit them out of the dash with a bigger range. That will litteraly shut down their possibility to approach.

Don't be afraid of their GP, since you can hit through it, and they are slower on one side (their leg side, I think, not sure), so try to either dodge toward the slower side, or just stuff it with a bigger reach.

Finally, I'd say to avoid off-stage plays as much as possible. Their Nair can turn the tide very quickly, so try to stay on stage if it's reasonable. With the "!!!" mechanic, they can't camp at the edge anymore for those sweet gimps.

Use any weapon that out ranges them. Sword, they can't keep up with the fast attacks. lance, lance is busted as ♥♥♥♥ and has long range. Katars, katars are alot faster then gauntlest, simply wait for them to SL then go in on the while they are defensless. Cannon, no one understands how those work. Scythe, the gauntlets attacks can't out-reach a scythe, and gauntlets are easy to read. Blasters, as long as you keep your distance and interrupt their attacks, they'll start to tilt. Then finally there are the spears, spears out range and out combo gauntlets.
