Is Xull really that bad?
I'm a new player who wants to choose his main. I'm not that kind of person who plays only to win so no koji or hattori for me.

I like xull because he's an ork (warhammer 40k player)
but i also read that he is one of the worst legends

Is that true or is he playable?

My friend plays brynn and is spamming spear sigs all the time. Can xull punish those sigs?

Ya know i think he aint that bad and plus BEST DAMAGE IN THE GAME. but it has AXE AND CANNON, like that combo is so SOOOOO OP. Axe is annoying enough, and then cannon. so i think XULL isnt that bad. (just my opinion)
theres no such thing as a bad legend. like fast and furious, its not the car that determines whether or not u win the race. its the guy behind the wheel. i personally think however that xull has a high skill floor (meaning that he requires u to be very skilled to use him well) considering that he has cannon and his sigs are really punishable. however if you are comfortable with him then feel free to use him

I've won many ranked matches with Xull. A lot of those matches are over fast. Strong sigs, decent utility, very impressive coverage. He has A+ area denial. Many opponents don't know how to deal with him and you just smack them off the screen like a bug.

Others will give you a run for your money. His attacks are slow and mistakes quite punishable. Against 'good' players with faster weapons, you may have to play defensively to win, keeping katars and such the hell out of your space. This can require a lot of patience if your opponent is also being defensive. When in doubt, float around and fish for sairs. His str is so high, one sair can be the difference between victory and defeat.

imo he's the highest-risk, highest-reward legend and that's why many players don't pick him and can't win with him.

Tier lists are only applicanle to the top few players. Period

Every legend is viable in lower ranks

Yea I agree with kinghyrule
I main xull and you will have a hard time against quick legends, but it's all about baiting and all or nothing with xull
Some people handle him pretty quickly, but it will be long to master all the possibilities of his sigs
I am level 40+ with him and I am still discovering some possibilities

I recommend playing a bit with some quick legends to understand how they work and counter them better

I already have wu shang so if he is quick (i think so) then i can play with him

But i'm glad to hear that xull is not unplayable

Oh and how about the speed stance?

tier lists are obsolete

Being bad with a legend doesn't mean the legend is bad, Xull is obviously a way different style than artemis
Xull's sigs are pretty bad
Xull's stats are pretty bad (being slow isnt good)
Though I do recommend Koji, not because of his sigs but because he is quick and efficent

Well I was stuck in gold even after a while, started to main xull and I am now in platinum since two seasons
Yea he is slow but that's the point of it, it's a mindgame character, you need to pre-attack and it's all or nothing

The reality is not forcefuly your point of view, xull isn't that bad, it's just rare to see a player using it well
For me the reality is stats, and in most brawlhalla statistic websites, xull is rarely below the 50% of winrate, so it's a pretty average character not fitting to everyone

Xull is trash, his sigs are trash and his slowness is trash, soo i cant even imagine how players use that fat thing. Now the most used weapon is scythe soo i decided to learn to play whit it. I recommend you to do the same + scythe gameplay is soo beautiful people will think your pro if you use it correct (thats my opinion)

Is that what you think I'm thinking when you people play scythe? :steammocking:

Horrendous stats and bad sigs make him a very weak character. The only way to use him effectively is to play stupid passive dealing damage through punishes which combo/string into other moves to leverage his high attack but even this style of play is weak since he doesn't have the speed needed to outmanouver opponents. You can still take him to high diamond you'll just be forced into a certain playstyle and have to work alot more for it and he isn't viable at all in tournaments
