Are blurry map backrounds cheating?

Replacing the originial map backrounds with blurry versions so you can more easily focus on the gameplay. Is it cheating?

Argument: You manipulate the game with means outside of the game to gain an advantage

Counter Argument: Everyone uses custom map backrounds and it doesn't directly influence the gameplay like other cheats (eg. macros, aimbots...)

No, because as long as you push the buttons at the right time, everything else is fluff.

what about a cheat that allows you to see hitboxes no matter what game mode you play in, expressly ghost brawl games, there is a glitch to see in other modes, than just practice and replies.

I've legit never had trouble focusing on the gameplay over the background tbh. in fact I've rarely ever even payed attention to the backgrounds at all.
