Mid-air Heavy attacks

So i don't frequent brawlhalla forums or discussions much, but i dont know if anyone else had discovered this yet. I was playing some practice the other day (with controller) when i realised that if you dodge in mid air at just the right moment, whilst also pressing the heavy attack button and the direction of attack simultaneously, you are able to perform any heavy attack in mid-air. Tried a few different characters and weapons and they all worked, although the timing of button pressing is difficult. Don't know if this is a bug or an intended feature or something, but it has got me a winning blow many times.

This is casual method. It's the same feature as any toher attack. It's called gravity cancel. Tap dodge mid-air without pushing the joystick to any side to perform gravity cancel. You can perform heavy attack up to 3 frames (approximately) after performing gravity cancel.

It is used in literally every match. Try practicing it by gravity canceling and then performing neutral attack

Also, you can not only use heavy attacks, but ANY grounded move with gravity cancel. Even light attacks and taunts

I said "spot dodge in the air and use a grounded attack" at least 5 times. idk how I could've been much more clear than that tbh :P (not to mention there's literally an in game tip about it on the loading screens)

why can't he give a dang spam guide are a boosting area this game requires one really badly

yeah it was because I don't use a controller and I don't know your setup XD?

BOOSTING there are so many boosting lobbies in this game that's what i need. I give up trying to figure out stuff since it's all boost or spam. heck doing this mid air thing just explains how ppl do the spear spam. foward X, down X, LT Y. or Foward light, Down Light, mid air Y. it's all i see in 1v1 it's screw this do ffa but nope nothing but boosters. try 2v2 nope same as ffa. this game has no playable modes. Bring back tomb raider climb it was playable
