If you can win by performing the same move over and over again, then go for it. It reflects badly more on your opponent that they can't defend against it, than it does on you doing it.
if you want to talk about what spam is and what it isn't, then I can just write a paragraph real quick....
I guess the true definition of spam can vary slightly from person to person, but it's generally always going to be somewhere along the lines of "using the same attack over and over again." personally, I define spam as using just 1 or 2 moves rapidly without any real plan except attack until you hit something. this includes not only sigs, but light attacks as well. using the same combo/string can be considered combo spamming as well.
