This is a very trash game, as i said before.
The balance is just terrible.
You either play op weps or you lose ( if you are not some god at this game )
Its not fair when u play pistold or katars ( i played lucian now ) and you have no combos, this game makes no sense. I lose non stop to spear, as always, cuz tif they slight me i get 5 hit combo and i press dodge in the middle of it and it doesnt work...
If they get bow, again, you get 4 hit combo with no effort from slight, and get thrown to hell after
Then you see gauntlet, who grab you non stop and just throw you off the map lol
Theres that zariel character who is just a terrible op mess who spamms sigs and theres nothing you can do about it.

Really, they should quit the stupid skins and focus on the damn balance, this is not normal.
Its either all weps with combo attacks or not, it makes no sense.

there's no such a thing as a 5 hit true combo except in very fringe situations. If your not able to dodge it just means ur missing the dodge windows. And it's funny you say that guns can't combo considering it has one of the longest very tight strings in the game with sair>dlight> dj dair> gc dlight> xpivot nair (all undodgeable except for dair to gc dlight which has a single dodge frame). You also mention that bow has a 4 move combo off of slight but it has literally no combos off of slight, you just can't dodge.

When I dare touch Lucien in this game, I find it impossible to lose even against some plats. Blasters and katars are all string weapons so that argument diagnoses you with UR JUST BAD.

Gotta respec yerself better than that man. Don't even give yourself a capital I. It's alright though. Raven Lord's are often edgy, because they don't understand they just have a wide skill gap they need to make up for. DW friend, you'll get better one day and work out of tin.

2. not true. with bow, dlight nair, dlight nlight, and with enough dex, dlight - dair - nlight - nair I believe is a true combo, and spear dlight sair is a true combo as well. additionally these combos can be set up with a slight and it has very few dodge frames

There's also dash slight > dash nlight > nair – a 50 damage combo.

Btw, I struggle to do dlight > dair > nlight > nair combo you've mentioned at dexterity lower than 9. Is there some trick to it like some x-pivot or dashes?

if I'm correct you're supposed to dlight jump dair, then just nlight into nair, although there might be an x pivot anywhere above 0 damage, but I'm not super familiar with the combo :P

No, you have to dash, hit Slight as close to the opponent as possible, then dash again into Nlight – a 32 damage combo that works all the way up to at least 150 damage.
At 0-40 damage you can true combo it into Nair – for the overall damage of 50!

Though, admittedly, hitting dash > stacked Slight is not an easy task during the real match, but it's still good as a hard read. Or if you ever find yourself approaching with the dash Slight, you might happen to hit it stacked and confirm it into a combo, provided you have enough reaction.
