You need at least 1 Microsoft Xbox brand controller to play local.
Other brands *may* work, no promises

If you have your controller plugged in, pressing the "ESC" key on your keyboard while in couch party mode will use the keyboard as a 2P controller.

Btw if you have an xbox controller and a PS4 controller you have to go into steam big picture mode and activate your ps4 controller in order to play on both controllers, otherwise the game will recognize both of them as one controller

Sorry man, this doesn't work unfortunately, you need at least 1 other controller (I'm not sure if it works with 2 keyboards)
