Spear and Blasters

so as of recent, I've been hearing people call spear and blasters top tier. i had to laugh at this, because no matter what, no one wants to acknowledge how broken sword and scythe are. they throw around blame at weapons that aren't even close to being broken, and many professional players support these. at the same time, you see just about every high elo match involving someone using a scythe or sword legend. the denial in this community is unreal. i have never experienced anything to make me think that spear or blasters could even be considered top tier

Scyth and sword are not broken they take a lot of skill and they are very hard to read people with if you want to learn a way to beat them try doging alot and try to become unpridictible

You've been hearing people call spear and blasters top tier because the top player (Boomie) thinks spear and blasters are top tier. This opinion comes from the highest level of play, where weapon balance is different than it appears in lower brackets.

Like i replied to someone else, if you watch a tournament, most people bank on sword and scythe. I think that people just don't want to admit that sword and scythe are broken, and are willing to throw the blame around

Sword and scythe are next in line on Boomie's tier list, and plenty of people complain about these weapons. There are just no complaints about it posted at this moment, on this discussion board.

I personally think scythe and sword are slightly easier to fight than blasters and spear, which more or less aligns with the tier list.

Scythe is in no way op or broken, it has the least amount of dmg in game, and takes a lot of reading and predicting to actually hit someone. first of all, this is schwerpy, who spends half the video just insulting the people who don't agree with him on his scythe opinion. second, scythe is top tier because of its long strings with almost negligable dodge windows (if performed right). I'm not saying scythe is braindead, it takes skill, but when that skill is achieved, it's miles better than the other options. I don't understand the reasoning for spear being the top, as one of the reasons was long strings (refrencing s-light, d-light, gc, d-light, s-air). This is short compared to the long scythe strings achievable in the game. I also don't find spear or blasters that hard to overcome. I agree far more with the old tier list that had scythe at the top, katars 2nd (although I think sword is better), sword 3rd, spear middle of the line, and blasters closer to the bottom

I don't see where all the issue comes from blasters and spear, i find them relatively simple to fight.
