Only matched with higher ranking smurfs with lower ELO

In ranked, I'm pretty much only matched with higher ranking players, like Platinum and Diamond, with around 100 lower ELO than me, meaning that if I win I don't win much, and if I lose I lose a lot, and the people I'm matched against are at a much higher skill level than they should be for their ELO bracket.

It makes it feel like the Ranked Match Making system is rigged against me every time this happens. I've lost nearly 100 ELO today. And this isn't salt, I'm far from the only one experiencing this. The Match Making has always done this, and it gets especially bad between 1400 and 1600 ELO, isn't there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening so much?

Maybe like, if someone has already previously reached a higher ELO score, such as Platinum or Diamond ranked, adjust the ELO losses so that they aren't so extreme? I shouldn't lose 20 points for losing a match to someone with a high level diamond or platinum avatar when I've never made it out of Gold Ranked, no one should.

Another thing that would help is if higher ranked players got to keep more of their own ELO after a fight with lower ranked players so that they don't end up smurfing around 1400 ELO when they're Diamond League. Maybe just reduce all gains and losses and start normalizing it around that level, so that it's like 5 points per match won and minus 3 points per match lost.

That way they'll all stay where they belong, in Diamond and Platinum rank with other Diamond and Platinum ranked players, and wouldn't be at such a high risk if they encountered a Smurf player. Progression will take work and effort but it'll be less like casino gambling. The way it is now, if one smurf takes down another high ranking player there's suddenly a plague of smurfs. Each one with nuked ELO can nuke the ELO of others like it's some kind of contagion that screws everyone over and nobody likes that.

Don't expect any changes to be made, honestly it sounds like BMG is only good for adding coesmtics and that's about it

It kept happening this morning too, until I was down to like 1480 ELO, then I suddenly got matched against someone with over 1600 ELO and won.

So I beat this guy who fought really well at 1600 ELO, and it nuked his ELO, that's really unfair to him. I felt almost guilty for winning. Sure Ranked has Diamonds on top and Bronze at the bottom but everything in between is kind of a mess, there are diamond ranked players in the gold bracket, gold and patinum players in the tin braket, it's really messed up. ELO seems to have no correlation to actual skill in the middle brackets.
