Cross play with PS4?

Isn't this game cross play with PS4? If so how would I add a friend on PS4 so then they could party up with me?

There is no cross play currently (even though the game's been tagged as that for months)

Due to the announcement of XBox and Switch versions of Brawlhalla coming in November, the Crossplay feature has to comply with PlayStation, XBox and Nintendo First Party Agreements, which is kind of a bump in the road.

Ah ok. Main reason I asked was because I was looking for games that me and my friends on PS4 could play together that wasn't Fortnite. Also because it was listed as a game that had cross play between PS4 and PC.

I think you have to play in a custom room.
