Is Brawlhalla locked to 1080p?

I just got a new monitor, being 1440p. Other games like Rocket League can go to the resolution, and it's obvious to see as that game has a resolution setting. In Brawlhalla however, it seems locked at 1080p. I can kinda already tell by how blurry it looks, but nVidia instant replay will also tell me resolutions through the video.
I personally play on a fixed camera setting, hitting diamond last season with it. I'd really enjoy if I could get the extra pixels, so is it something I need to activate somehow? Or is the game locked to 1080p, similar to the 60 fps lock?

The game is locked to a 16:9 ratio so you should be able to play on 1440p. If you turn of Full Screen it should be okay.

That's the issue. It sticks to 1080p so I sit here like wha?

I should be more specific. It plays on 1440p just fine, but I can tell it's 1080p stretched. nVidia especially can tell, actually keeping the video in 1080p despite being in "native" setting lol.

it uses vector format and why do bother your resolution size?

Okay so I don't know how it did it, but I guess after starting it and quitting it a few times, it updated to 1440p now. Everything's good and dandy, was somethin on my end idk. Can consider this thread closed.
