How do you execute a dodge or a light attack IMMEDIATELY after a signature?

I've seen a lot of people do it, but I myself can't no matter how much I try.
Is it based on dexterity? How much of it do I need then?
Is it legend specific? Why is it a thing, then? What's with the discrimination?

I believe you're referring to the fact you get a chase dodge after landing a hit succesfully. A chase dodge is a dodge that can be canceled into light / signature attacks.

You can perform a chase dodge by landing a hit on your opponent then dodge in his direction in order to perform a chase dodge which has a whirly white animation.

By repeating this process you'll find it's easy to chain attacks and dodge inbetween. Something which might have been difficult without knowing of this game mechanic.

No, I wasn't referring to a chase-dodge. I was referring to regular dodges and regular attacks right after a missed signature – that didn't hit anyone.
