Recovery legit disappeared?

Not sure if i'm allowed to provide links here but I don't know how else to show and question this. At the end you can see my just floating down to my death. At this point I was trying to use my recovery but it just wouldn't work. I went and tested in training mode immediately after, did the exact movement and could recover fine, so what happened here?

Most likely you lost your jumps...you have to hit the ground more if you want to get back your recoveries
You are only allowed 2 recoveries and one gravity cancel I believe when you are in the air...

You should have had your recovery.
Can't say whether this happened because the game somehow voided your recovery or the input, for some reason, didn't register, though.

No he already used it...pay attention to the clouds below his feet...he used it two times...one to gain level after running off the stage and another one to gain level to hit Val...

You are talking about air jumps, not his recovery. You get two air jumps and a recovery if you are off stage (plus any dodges, but those are cooldown based). You can do a second or third smaller recovery in exchange for an air jump each, but you can't exchange your recovery for more jumps. At no point does he use his base recovery in the clip.

I air jumped twice. No recovery was inputted at all. Air jump - Air jump - Grav cancel Nsig - No recovery option

You are supposed to get 2 jumps, a recovery and an air dodge. I did the two jumps, I used the air dodge on the grav cancel, but there was definately no recovery inputted, even though I was mashing the button furiously lol.
