How is this game compared to Smash ULTIMATE?
I only played this a little. Seems like you can spam a lot of moves without really any down side to it.

At the lower levels yes, as players dont know how to punish heavy attacks.

If you already own smash I suggest sticking to that. One is paid one is free, I’ll let you decide which is better xD

I haven't played ultimate, but I've played other smash games and seen a bit of ultimate gameplay so from what I understand smash ultimate has more unique characters, actual projectiles (there are very few projectiles in brawlhalla, and the few there are are basically just disjointed hitboxes, or thrown weapons) more advanced movement, and more combo potential. brawlhalla has only a few "true" combos, and they're generally 2 hit combos. the rest of them are dodgeable, leading to a much more neutral based game than smash. brawlhalla has no back air, no special attacks, only heavy attacks, no "upward" attacks (technically there kind of are, but they're always the "neutral" attack), no dash attacks, and less variety. each legend has 2 weapons, and weapons are shared across legends, so a legend with the sword and hammer will have the same sword moveset (apart from signature attacks) as a sword and axe character. additionally, movement is much more floaty. grounded movement consists of walking and dashing, although dashing is kind of a mix between wavedashing from melee and normal dashing. in addition, there is a "gravity cancel" mechanic in brawlhalla that lets you use any grounded attack in the air as long as you have a dodge available.

tl;dr smash has a larger focus on grounded movement, more character and item variety, proper projectiles, and more combo potential, while brawlhalla has a larger focus on the neutral game, is much more floaty, uses weapons, and is more balanced overall at the cost of variety.

It also depends on how much you want to play online; someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems Smash online kinda sucks at the moment, with lots of lag (even more than Brawlhalla!)

I find smash to be super boring and kinda a joke so i prefer brawlhalla.

Smash rhymes with a word that describes it.

Nintendo is trash, and Switch is the ultimate 4 year olds toy.

I felt betrayed by Nintendo because of the whole Wii U thing, no support for that one at all :steamsad:
