Because the world isnt a story and you are not the protagonist, one person valiantly standing up for the good of society means absolutely nothing, this is the way it is and there is nothing you can do to change it.
Edit*(wrong word derp :P)
Method | Workaround
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Banning | make new account
2. Shadow Banning | makes new account when they realize they've been shadowbanned
3. 2 Factor Authentication | Purchase cheap sim cards to be burned and can use them in
| multiple games.
4. Hardware Ban | Someone else in the same home that is innocent could potentially
| face an unwarranted penalty for someone else's behavior.
No, the internet isn't a terrible place for terrible people, and if you act in this way you should be called out for it. It has to start from the community.
Because it is far too expensive to consistantly moderate something like this, especially given what you see above. Volunteer moderation can help, but can only go so far.
If you got the decency, do what you can about it. It's not childish to call someone out.
Edit: But it is against the rules to witchhunt.
But none of this is because I am butthurt myself. Sure I made a thread about it, and talked about how we shouldn't stand aside as people figuratively take another person's candy and how we shouldn't be letting the griefers have their way like you shouldn't be letting trespassers in your house but none of this is because it affects me on such a deep and emotional level which prevents me from playing the game.
My initial commentary was about my desire to see BMG exercise their right to exclude and deny people who want to be spoiled sports with their conduct and go about misrepresenting Brawlhalla as a game which lacks class and has a toxic community. I could just laugh it off and let the world burn because none of that is in my control, but I don't because I want to be a decent human being before I pass away.
The ♥♥♥♥♥ who want to go about with their immaturity and express it in their names shouldn't take for granted BMG is beholden to United States free speech laws as they are a private entity. Just like Facebook, just like Reddit, just like Twitter, BMG could (and should) kneecap people with a figurative baseball bat to persons who want to display a lack of class with their immaturity because if the community grows any more toxic, BMG might find themselves losing market share with this IP because the game will have gained a reputation as a cesspool not worth bothering with. I don't want to let that happen because I love this game; I play it with my friends, I made awesome things happen, I don't want to see it choke on the vine because too many people step all over it.
But I think I've seen quite possibly the worst thing here; everyone telling me to relent and step off are showing a display of acceptance, that the worst things which happen in this community are part and parcel of Brawlhalla being a fighting game, seemingly complicit to the unyielding and ever-growing presence of bigotry which for many doesn't just pervade the Internet, but is also in their cities, at their doorstep and in their face. And this is why gaming gets a bad rap by SJWtards while you keep yelling about how they don't understand.
I'm trying to look out for other people and you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in my breakfast over it. GG guys. Roll over and die.
The biggest thing we can do, as in any problem like this, is to get people involved. Feel free to add me, if you'd like to talk more about it. The means to go about it is to Make it an issue worth addressing and it will get addressed.
Did they? Scroll up a bit. Tone's been thrown out the window a long time ago. But thanks for your input, I might get in touch with you later.
/s honk
Nobody here likes it, nobody here accepts it, what we do accept however is that human beings are human beings and will do this over and over again. There is only so much you can do that doesnt restrict everyones freedom in game because some people wanted to be stupid. I know some people that are a "Friendly Toxin" they act super salty and never toxic always saying offensive things but you don't find it offending buecause you know at the end of the day they are a good person.
Back to the issue at hand, you have to understand that 90% of brawlhalla does not care and just ignores it all, while those that do get 1 player for being toxic and there are 5 more just as toxic around the corner. In short it never ends
Another is that a lot of people don't want to deal with it, I'm not sure about that 90% stat but I know I avoid ranked like the plague because of it. It's not fun wading through that stuff.
I'd rather play in custom rooms or in unranked matchmaking.
I'm glad you finally realized I'm not afraid to ♥♥♥♥ in your cereal when you made assumptions about me...
1. Advocating for bullying instead of grouping together against bullies and using ♥♥♥♥ talking. Using it as motivation to at least be able to combat people trying to ♥♥♥♥ up their day in a game. as a method to build confidence against ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It teaches persistence in the face of adversity.
2. You don't speak for me as a former victim of bullying and dealing with it by myself. You don't know ♥♥♥♥ about what experiences I've had.
3. That must lack empathy because I see obvious work arounds for the methods proposed by you.
4. I laugh at how ridiculous my own thoughts are to come up with something retarded, lame and needlessly offensive like "RapeMasters>9k". This even includes me laughing while you keep being butthurt after passive aggressively throwing ♥♥♥♥ at people yourself.
5. I laugh at your assumptions because I'm generally a polite person but sometimes I will try to make someone like you feel like ♥♥♥♥ because you try to slander others without truly considering their perspective because you take something at face value.
6. I don't like you because you remind me of a 4.8 Black mirror sociopath where money and social standing are more important than ideals. That's some simple minded basic ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I'm not sorry that I'm able to think of reasons to not do something like add a useless policy. I don't know why you don't see you're just banging your head against the wall or falling for obvious bait like random offensive stuff on the internet. FFS... I offer a valid, easy, no thought, work around for shadow bans and you still advocate for them.
Name restriction is a valid option but I really don't underestand why it's considered a bad PR move to be free speech and free association. They are both a fundamental right and ideal for freedom for everyone.
Sorry things aren't the way you want though. I think everyone can relate to having life related ♥♥♥♥ in their cereal. Sometimes in unfair portions. Reality can suck. Drive the ♥♥♥♥ on and maybe try to laugh and learn to take it in stride while trying to stay away from the crap as much as possible. Regardless of what you choose to do you're still going to eat some just like the rest of us and hopefully you figure out a way to deal with it that works and doesn't kill you.
You really don't have any other choice but to eat it like the rest of us. Sometimes it sucks but you will fail trying to prevent them from finding ways of living life just like you. We're curious creative freaks and rolling a rock up a hill it will never stay on top of is just going to wear you out.
