there is roughly a single frame dely on my end, triggers are just bad, for Dodging they get the job done but it's 3x harder to execute neutral air cancel combos as opposed to a keyboard.

I don't seem to have a problem with it. Have you tried modifying your controls? I play with a PS4 controller, and made X my light attack, square my strong attack, circle my throw.

changing helps, but the small dely isn't too bad, but it's enough to break an intense game.

If your controllers are wired then the delay would be the same as any keyboard. No one is forcing you to map dodge on the triggers, you've got 7 other buttons to use. And several top players like Twilight or Diakou use controllers. The only disadvantage controllers have that I can think of is that it's harder to rapidly change directions in chase dodge maneuvers, but through practice it's a non issue.

You using logitech? Triggers are stiff as a board. Use B to dodge.

It's true I sometimes feel input delays, but I think it's probably lag, or me pressing buttons before they'll do anything.

Xbox one, sure the D-pad isn't hot, but the stick is good for movement.... Signatures on the other hand a ♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes, often going neutral when I'm holding in in the right position...

I wonder how a fight stick fares to this game..

It depends on the controller.
Most stock controllers are kinda crappy. Grab a HQ one, or do a build :o

For weapons, throw button picks-up without fail.
but yeah, gravity dodges are hard, even when you nuetral dodge the lag will surely make you do air attacks.
If I had a nickle for every time I pressed the right input for the wrong sig, I'd have a nice Taco Bell snack.
