Paying for characters I already own

So, the title says it all. When you download the game (F2P) some characters are unlocked from the beginning (like Ember). However, in the "more legends" store the game tells me that I need to buy her... why is this?

Ember as well as Lord Vraxx, Gnash, Queen nai, Teros and Val are currently part of the free week rotation that changes on every Wednesday. This means that you won't have these legends once free week changes unless you purchase them.

pretty much what rabbit said, you don't properly own any character until you buy them, you do however have characters who are apart of the rotation or you can buy the all legends pack dlc and that means you don't have to buy any legend even the new ones when they come out

Oh then that's why. I didn't know it rotated between characters every time and now. Maybe next discount I will buy it. Thank you guys and gals :)
