I almost got to plat, and yes they are slow and have no true combos (it's almost like they're gloves). They pretty much act as an excuse for spammers to abuse their sigs (although I get some good use outta them with Kor).

Try the dodge button, after you get hit by the first attack, mash it

I main gauntlets and i can say, they have only like 2 true combos, and the only people ive seen do them are dobrein and dopememe so yeah just use the dodge button

my one and only complaint, is how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying their slight is. zipping and zomming all over the place, makes punishing them a ♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes.
