You don't need to look further. That's your "why". It's the Most Effective Tactic Available (the definition of META).
Yes it's boring, but some don't play to be not-bored, they play to win, and I can't fault them for doing that. The only reason I am not a passive player is precisely because I want to win against them, and mimicking a tactics means I can't beat it.
Well, I thank you for saying that
but I'm still fed up with it.
In the meantime, there is a lot to gain from fighting passive players if suffered with humor and patience. Because they try to be flawless in their spacing and timing, they force you to do the same. You can apply those principles to aggression.
It fixes the problem of people dodging and backdodging and flying around with all these invincibility frames. If you float around in the air, you can't dash. If you want to approach from the air, you need to dash jump. It's fun, try it. These mechanics absolutely do strengthen direct engagement as an approach.
If you feel some weapons are stronger than others with the dash mechanics, I somewhat agree, but the devs have already taken this into account and will rebalance as needed.
I've played a ton of experimental this season with a variety of legends and weapons and I don't see anything particularly broken.
i've played it plenty, all i run into are players jumping and running away more so than normal mode. battles take much longer. people run away or jump and throw out potshots. no one ever uses the back step dodge becouse its useless, you are too close to dodge and get hit or you're too far away to counter the whiff depending on the weapon. do you use katar and sword mains with this feature? its not broken but characters with range weapons have a much bigger advantage becouse running speed seems to be negated with dash, "slow" legends can stil zip and move around nearly as fast as "speed" characters. my only option for approch shouldn't only be from the air either. its really not a fun way to play. if anything id rather just stick with this current mode unless they really change how dash works so being brave and actually engaging more nets better results. i like more "fighting" in my fighting games, not running all over the map or waiting for crap to happen sorry.
it's not about experimental features
XD
but he said he was hitting them (and he even heard the sound) ,but then they still had the same health and no stun XD
