Skyforged doesnt mean anything

I always see people say "Oh thats a skyforged (insert random legend name here)! He must be good!" or "Oh that guy has skyforged (insert random weapon name here)! He must be good with that weapon". Sometimes when im playing with my skyforged characters i either get comments at the end of the match like "lol skyforged tryhard play another legend instead of tryharding with that one" if i win, or "pff i expected more from a skyforged (insert random legend name here) but it turns out ur just a noob".
Honestly, skyforged doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥.
I can even offer a personal example. At the end of this season i bought skyforged colors for Wu Shang. Am i a good Wu Shang? No. Did it make me a better Wu Shang? Unfortunetly, also no.
Skyforged is just a sign that you either liked the color or the character enough and you intend to play more with it so you decide to spend "rare" credits on it or you liked the weapon and you intend to play characters that you use that weapon more often than any others.

TL;DR: This post is meant for people that are generally new to the game and get "cold feet" before going into a match against a skyforged player. Dont. Most of the time he will be just as good as your average gold. That being said i have 160 hours in the game at the time of writting this so take all my comments with a grain of salt as i am also not very good at the game.

you are right about skyforge colors meaning nothing, i have i think 7 of them in total and 2 weapons and im bad at both weapons and only good at 1 of the colors. you shouldnt judge someone by the colors or skins they have. i have black on 13 people yet i can only make plat with 5 or 6 of them. as he said in his own tl;dr im not very good (though i do have a lot more hours than him (1900) ) but i know what im talking about on this point.

I typically only buy Skyforged for my main's simply because of this stigma. And since i only play ranked and 1v1's the "tryhard" aspect is more of a compliment than anything else.

I totally agree that they dont mean a thing, but there is a reason that stigma exists. Honestly im more afraid of people who dont have any skins/special colors. From my experience that means they dont care about looks and are just that good, especially at Diamond level.

This post probably won't change much. They assume that a Skyforged legend / Weapon is your best because most people buy them for the legend they play on ranked. In general just don't pay any attention to them, It's the same as people who tell others to refund their skins after a match.

Waste of 5k glory, they don't even look that good when you bought skins, only nice for completely f2p cheapstakes 😁
