People around 1200 Elo are either smurfs or are stuck there for quite a while.
Means they may not rank up, but have more experience for simply being there for longer than you.
so if you wanna play peeps with similar skill do ranked, its the best 'git gud' out there
If you win, you deserve it, if you lose, you still deserve it.
The matchmaking doesn't know you, present yourself, and start from wherever you end up.
~I got two years of experience backing that up.
I tend to have a pretty good experience in experiementals though. Mostly plats with the odd newb.
And that is backed up by 1.5 years of experience. I have never been matched with someone more than 200 elo away and even that was extemely rare.
But...even if its 200 there should be a hardcap in ranked.
Without it elo gets inflated.
Ive rarely seen a consistant skill in ranked. I feel like I randomnly face people of various skill levels regardless of their elo.
This indicates there is a problem. I think its rooted in the matchmaking, but its easy to see how flawed the elo system is in brawlhalla.
