Tips for a newbie player?

i can't win a game and i can barely kill people. everyone i play agains't is so good at this game and i can't do anything! can anyone give me some tips?

you should not use heavy atacks to mutch, when you do that you get predictebel.
another tip : just play the game a lot you wil get better at it.

Try every char in "Training Mode" and get a main character.
Your main should have "Sigs"(strong attacks), that are good for your gameplay and weapons, with which you are good. Bödvar is a nice starting character. Also don't use that much Sigs, try to use your light attacks, but don't abuse them, so your enemie is always unprepared for your attacks. Try using light attacks and maybe some Sigs until your enemie is dark-orange/red, then finish him either with Sigs, or with hard-hitting attacks(like hammer-side-aerials or spear-side-aerials). It's simple. And then just learn.. learn.. and learn. :)

Don't let the people who talk sh*t after a match get to you. Though that is easier said then done. In that case just press the GG button then leave as fast as you can.

I would say to go to ranked and the matchmaking will adjust you against people of your skills after you have lost a few times and your elo goes down. But damn, dude, if you suck ass so much, I'd say, go to training room, pick the legends you like against the legends you have trouble against, set the bot to hard and play non stop until you start to dominate that bot. Once you start dominating it without trouble, then I'm sure you will be more than a match for the 750-1200 elo scrubs

But the faster way to get better is to just go to ranked and suck it up though...

play ranked

Learn how to dodge hattori spam
Step 9.
Rank up
Step 10.
learn advanced moves via youtube ie the gravity cancel
Step 11.
git gud
step 12.
play for 500+hours
step 13.
get rekt by high gold smurfs and plats.
Step 14.
continue to get rekt by gold smurfs and plats
Step 15.
copy the gold smurfs and plats that beat you
Step 16.
Rank up
Step 17.
learn pro level moves and combos.
step 18.
break the Platinum barrier
Step 19.
get rekt by your fellow plats and some low diamonds.
Step 20.
Rank down
Step 21.
go back to step 17. until it takes less than an hour to go from 1300 to 1700.
Step 22.
beat everyone.
step 23.
Rank up, You are now diamond
Step 24.

QUIT THE GAME AND NEVER RETURN

Play Free-for-All for a while before going to any 1v1. It may seem difficult (and some will advice against it) but it's a better place to start than 1v1 because in FFA you could practice some moves against players busy with each other and you can practice your skills in you're reflexes since you have 3 other players to take care of, while in 1v1 you have one opponent. One opponent, also means you're their only opponent, which means their entire attention is directed to you.
