Approaching with gauntlets
Any tips on how to better approach someone with gauntlets? I know most of the strings, but I'm trying to read better and approach better, as I'm used to playing Scarlet with her long range. I don't necessarily have a main, but with gauntlets I play mostly Cross, Kor and Wu

Dlight is the longest reaching attack (by that I mean the hitbox reach more compared to your hurtbox), so it's a safer bet than Slight, it comes out really fast and take most people by surprise, you can chain it into Slight and all the rest.
I notice people react less to Slight if I use it as a followup from Dlight.

In the air, Sair is also the best option, it doesn't have the priority of Dlight, but is surprisingly far reaching. I get caught offguard by it a lot.

As usual, speed dodge is your friend. The main difference with Scarlet is not really reach, but priority : Scarlet can crush through your opponnent attack with her own, because of how far back her hurtbox is compared to the hammer and the lance, but if you are purely talking about reach, Dlight, Slight and Sair are not really behind.

Basically, instead of attacking directly into your opponnent en outprioritizing his move, you should take him from a dead angle, that's the main difference.

I know that, I have most gauntlet chars above lvl 20. . Let me reword it. I approach people with Nair or sair usually, because most of the time I do a Dlight they usually dodge and punish, but even that doesn't work sometimes. Am I doing it wrong or do I just have to get better at baiting?

Have you tried slight/sair?
Really fast, and easy to hit with.
