Tutorial?

Why is there no tutorial? Lots of things in this game are left 100% secret, such as the fact that you can aim most of your attacks with the stick, oftern creating brand new attacks. What else is there that I don't know?

Also, what use does Gold have? All store items use mammoth coins in their prices...

currently the game doesnt have enough material to need a "Tutorial" but i do agree to some point that there should be something to guide new players on what to do, tho very lttle it is.

All you need to know is.
A. how to play.
B. where to spend coins.

A. just press play or ranked and pick a legend.
B. go to the store and a select legends to buy legends and colors to buy colors(white or black, event colors) and some avatars. those are all that can be purchased with gold

Well, the game lacks tutorial but isn't too hard to understand. Basically :

-Each weapons has the exact same moveset across every character.
-Each character can pick up 2 differents weapons.

-Each weapons has the following input with the light attack button : Down light, neutral light, side light. And a different attack for each of those 3 in the air.
-Additionally, in the air, you have a Recovery (heavy attack) and a ground pound (down heavy).

-Each legend has 3 signature attack per weapons (Down sig, neutral sig, side sig) that are unique to that legend.

-You can dodge in any direction, the dodge reset faster if you started it grounded.

-Touching a wall reset all of your jumps and recovery.

More advanced stuff :

-Doing a neutral dodge in the air (without moving) and pressing an attack right after will perform a "gravity cancel", wich will make you do a ground attack in the air.

-Doing a dodge while running for 1/3 second in the same direction will do a faster dodge (called speed dodge) that goes farther and can be canceled into an attack.

-You can do two of those faster dodge in a row.

-If you hit an ennemy, you can dodge immediatly to follow him, it's called a "chase dodge".



And the gold coin are only usable to get legends (playable characters) and holiday skins (only available during... Well, certain holidays).
Additionnally, if you play ranked mode, at the end of each season you get another currency to buy things in the ranked store.

its pretty mutch the basics of every base fighting game you can attack special moves (sigs) dodge--direction or spot (most fighting games) pick up weps throw them (not all fg) taunt (almost all games) nothing special (game secrets) none what you say is a secret is just basic ov throwing something in a direction mostly all game where you can shoot or throw you can pick a direction ....

i thin this game can have a tutorial but they dont need to cause i think this game is to know what the keys are by playing trainning mode and getting used to it like by pressing random uttens till you find out wta the moves are and what not so its memry they dont have that much content for a tutorial you just ha to figure it out like i did.

Honestly, a tutorial would be more of a hindrance in this game.
You don't really want anything more than what you'd see in a souls game.

There is infact a UI_Tutorial.swf file in the game files.
It has a few pictures of some loading screen things, and a few unused lines of text:
"Everyone is having fun..."
"This is not a tutorial"
"There is no awesome in game store, please don't look for it"
"Please pay attention to game play"
"People like Will Smith play Brawlhalla"
"Brawlhalla is for smart people"

It's really a little problematic when you have no idea what to do in order to win a fight.

Thankfully, this is not a team game (but rather a pairs game at best) so other people's lack of experience isn't going to ruin your match.

Tbh the best way to learn is via 1v1's. It's just confusing in anything more than that at the start.
