I think it's been 8 year since his last post on steam. I google, there is no where offical of website about his game. So no, I don't think he is okay at all.
Like Chess Battle, those main solo main developer passed away, but his wife take over, and do had basic knowledge to maintenance to her best ability but lot of player wasn't happy with due lot of issues game getting crash to desktop, it's sad, I recalled.
Big company had no problem, main developer quit or retire or pass away, they find someone with high price and hire them take over to improve or maintenance game as long as it's bring them profit.
