It’s a time wasting bloatware to justify the pricing.
It may be optional but it’s a bad idea to ignore it unless you want to be extremely weak in the endgame.
Yep, people who play the game not to enjoy it, but to rush through it in order to get to the next game on their backlog will not like this game. Indeed, they are all wrong for playing in such a way.
I love the game, but this guy is spitting facts. LMAO.
I found myself watching guides more in Cosmo Canyon, but CC was pretty kind to my frames so I'll give it a pass over the suffocating area that is Gongaga.
It wasn't fun to run around figuring out how to get to a tower in CC because apparently you have to glide from a vantage point a few hundred meters away from you. They really didn't have to do these dumb segments. I loved Nibelheim's exploration tho. That ♥♥♥♥ was fun.
Other devs made the best looking world they could and whoever had the final say about camera decided players don't need to and definitely don't want to look around while flying.
The game is great, but man oh man are there some really absurd design choices all over the place that just gnaw at the experience.
There are other times when the devs know better where you want to look so instead of letting you explore, they will once again lock the camera somewhere and when the "event" of forcefully looking at something is over, there is still a 5 second period where you are standing still waiting to regain control.
Exploration could be fun, but little things like this make it less so.
All sidecontent feels like some weird ubisoft slob with their yellow ledges to grab on and radio towers and markers everywhere. What exploration? I am a hamster on a wheel.
When you get back on track and do main missions, it's suddenly awesome again.
If you had one look at your surroundings that is pretty obvious.
It took me about 10 seconds to figure out that you needed to glide to that tower. And then another 5 seconds to see the point from where you had to glide. The "problems" in this game couldn't be easier or more casual to overcome.
Not even being able to look at a rock face and figure out a way up, Idiocracy truly was a documentary.
