I don't mind most of them, I have no problem with going to an arcade irl so I find the minigames unproblematic for me (most of the time)
edit: finally beat Jules after 30 tries managed 54 crunches he got 51.

FF7 was heavy on mini games tho, but they have definitely added a few more.
They need to look at RGG and Yakuza on how to add mini games and make them fun.
The OG FF7 had plenty of minigames, but the mandatory ones were spaced out pretty well, the rest were optional, it's been a while since I played Intergrade so I don;t recall the frequency of minigames, but with Rebirth here literally by the time I finished Chapter 2 I'd played what like three minigames?
Plus with the way they've implemented the side content as part of leveling up and gaining more abilities in the game, it makes the "Side Content" feel quite mandatory unless you wanna play on Easy. I literally read an article I found on my phone's news feed that basically amounted to "If you don't wanna do the side content, play on easy otherwise you're gonna be under powered"
Womp womp more minigames. Like seriously? Was burned out at the end, especially cause older now, it takes me multiple attempts to succeed at most of em.
I suppose if you blitzing the mini games its not gonna be frustrating. Unfortunately for me it was a slog....
And yea as others have said It felt like had to do em, didn't want battles to become a slog as well.
Agree. This is why they should not have made the game a trilogy. They try to compensate by bloating other side contents to stretch play time. This is why both in Remake and here most players always says "hard mode is the way the game is meant to be played" because in this mode the sidequests are truly optional since we already done it in normal mode and can just concentrate on stories and sidequests we really want to do.
Rebirth is an improvement in that it does have more main scenario content vis-a-vis the sidequests compared to Remake but it still makes the pacing of the game so bad. And like you I guess us older gamers might not have as much patience as we used to if we are younger. And omg I just wish Chadley would shut up. lol.
