Right? I guess Square assumes that we all have fiber optic internet.
FF16 did the same, it's a square enix thing.

You don`t? Ain`t it a human right to have fiber optic internet? :D Matt is right as i can download 155gb in a few minutes but unpacking takes waaaaay longer :( That`s why i kind of dislike steam... even with ssd it takes forever and for a little 30mb patch steam makes a complete back up of the game taking double the drive size
It doesn't matter. Even if you have to download the entire game on day one the game will not run away, it'll be there waiting for you to play whenever you want.
but my internet aint too fast and i cant wait for it
It has no Denuvo, so they don't want to preload and get the game cracked instantly and on sites before here.

Sadly even on 40G Internet connection Steam only goes to 2.5G.

I prefer to download directly once is released because the pre-load takes a lot of time to uncompress the pre-load... more time even that the direct download

Honestly, the pre-load w/ data extraction would take longer for me then downloading the actual release once it drops. The pre-load method is imo worthless. Ends up being slower, unless you have really antiquated internet.

This has been my experience as well.

Pre-load seems like it's pretty worthless if you have decent internet, at least.

Gotta love living in Asia where internet is so good and cheap. Unlimited data, 2TB/s for 30 USD/mo.
