RTX is required??
I know I have to upgrade my gear, but... XVI with a 1070 is playable, and the tag in requirements says " RTX series required" so... I guess i'm out until I upgrade?
Do you know any other game with this requirement run in a non rtx serires?

Contrast with how quickly hardware went obsolete in the '90s and '00s. This is nothing in comparison.

Many games from now on will start forcing ray-tracing on, because it's a waste of developmental time and budget to pretty much make games with two lighting systems.

Short answer, we don't know if it will be playable but likely with mods or hacks to get it running over time. At acceptable Framerates? Who knows.

20 series is 6 years old now.... If your system is older it's about time to rebuild completely imo. Maybe not until 50 Series but the power and/or upscaling cores needed for AAA games to be barely playable like late 90s and early 2000s PC games is here, it just is. Devs want to use new software features. People used to be excited for this stuff now people just moan and groan when new features require more power hardware.

Games are being built with raytracing lighting now without fail backs for older hardware with baked lighting. Not every game but AA and AAA games are becoming way more hardware intensive than the last decade.

According to reviews, the new B580 Arc (Battlemage) from Intel gets lauded... so it might be an affordable upgrade for those on a tighter budget.

I'm good with just gaming on my PS5 Pro at the moment. I traded in my OG PS5 for the new one as getting anything affordable for a PC in Canada is near impossible now a days with our dollar tanking hard.

FF7 Remake runs at 60 fps on high with my GTX 1660 Super 6GB VRAM. I don't have a PS5, so I haven't played FF7 Rebirth yet. Is it more graphically demanding than FF7 Remake?
