I do not think it will need. Episode 1 and 2 both use HDR. Only Half Life 2 was not using this new tech. If anything we need a Half Life 2 Episode 3 or Half Life 3.

You dont need to install half life 2:update to episode 2 and one. Just create a folder named 'custom' in hl2 ep1 folder location and throw mods in there. u can install sweet fx mod if u wish ;x

np. But you need to remember, that any graphical improvements that are in 'update' mod aren't implemented. That's why you will probably want to install 'sweet fx' or 'reshade' mod. I'm using reshade btw .

Don't worry, we have an vr mod for HL2, probably for the rest episodes too, so we should be happy now.
