How do you expand as the humans?

With the beta, if i wanted to farm elsewhere, i just build a hub and a refinery. Do you have to run a condiut line ALL the way to the next catalyst area? or am i missing something?

You don't need to build a conduit line. What you do is build a refinery in your base and move one of your units next to the catalyst field anywhere on the map and build the extractor on the catalyst and then harvesters automatically transport catalyst to your base. Of course its advisable to defend that catalyst field with your units :)

Nah. Humans can actualy survive for a long time on nearby resource points. Moreover they spare far less resources on defending their base then Beta so it kinda pays off.
If you need some far off resource point - do what the other guy said and maybe upgrade your harvesters with stealth. Your extractors maybe harrassed, but you can alway build another one in a couple secs, also you can teleport units to protect em.
