If you had been playing for a while with no issues, and if you've played any multiplayer or viewed any replays, try deleting the replays in Documents/Petroglyph/Goo directory. I was having a similar issue and doing this fixed it - but the difference is that my game had been working for a while already when this popped up.
If your game never worked to begin with this probably isn't the problem. Sorry and good luck.
Not sure what is these days with all these games. It's like it's a rarity to find something that works right away from the get go.
Appreciate any help you can give.. I got 14 days to try and get this to work, else I'll have to get a refund. I just can't keep giving money away.
I have the "hang" issue, but turned out, if you actually leave your computer be, the game will eventually load. Now I understand some might consider this as a broken product and would demand a refund. I guess in my case, I am willing to tolerate it. The same way I had to tolerate Bloodborne on the PS4. I am just hoping that with the information that you provide to them, "DXDIAG, MSINFO, etc." That will help them determine patterns and hopefully, issue fixes for problems you and I are having.
Next time you run it, just leave it running for about 5 minutes. See if it will eventually start. Worth a shot. Worked for me.
