Is singleplayer skirmish bugged?

Whenever I set up a single player skirmish match, after I select a map it takes me to a lobby where it tells me to select a start position but there's nothing there for me to click on, it's just a blank square on the right and a large empty box on the left.

Which antivirus do you use? Some of the more intrusive ones tend to cause issues like this in Grey Goo

Yeah, between 0:18 and 0:20 is all I see when I boot up skirmish, it never shows me the stuff at 0:21 and beyond.

I'm running this game on win 11, does it have some compatibility issues or something?

It is very likely that this is the reason, but I'm not sure. Perhaps the reason is in the video card. You can try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 10, 8 or 7.

I don't think it's because of win 11. We have a player on the discord that is playing on win 11

It worked today, somehow. Not certain what I did, other than I didn't click to skip the opening cinematic/logos.

Weird as hell solution, but it's a solution nonetheless and the game runs flawlessly now at least.

I had to allow Grey Goo through my firewall to start a skirmish game. It requires an internet connection to get started for some reason.
