This is a video game. Games get released and devs move on. This is to be expected. This game is fully functional with a decent amount of content. That is not a moneygrab nor is there anything wrong with it. Its the entire basis of how this industry works.
lol
There are only 2 viable factions: Humans and Beta.
Humans with defensive turling and fast strikes with teleport and very good recon + the best epic unit of all time, Beta with swarming and early strikes.
Shroud takes ages to get going in early game and isnt even quite good in later game.
Goo is very unique, but just... bad. It requires a constand moving of 10+ mothers to survive against some good humans/beta and even then its prob a lost cause and just a hide an seek forever, frustrating for all players.
The ai isnt smart too, but i dont think thats too much of an issue.
It would be really neat if they brought shroud and Goo to actually same power and utility levels like humans/beta but we have to live with the fact that it wont happen. :-D
The problem lies in the very concept of RTS games.
They are awfully hard to balance, which requires time, dedicated community and active devs. Hence, money.
Considering it will remain niche, let us enjoy what we have and don't expect refined gems.
