List of areas that are worse than Ash:
...yeh. :o

Seriously, Ash sucks. It's the area I always struggle with on every ball type more than any other. And because there's absolutely nothing to clip on, you're guaranteed to lose at least 1 or more levels of progress.

Only other comparable area is the one past the golem because it forces the ball to respawn on a perfect path to the golem. Last time that happened to me using the sapphire ball, I went back 7 levels. -3-

I wouldn't riot if we got like one or two rocks in Ash, or slightly slower pushy things in the area before that to slow the ball down. (Sometimes it just ZIPS through the gaps in one go) Maybe some kind of golem mercy too, like "If you activate the golem twice in one playthrough it deactivates" or something.

Still like it though, been grinding for coins for the Gold ball. (2 clears let's goooooooo :Pitter5:)

Edit: After nosing at some vtuber streams, it looks like the golem only throws you twice. Afterwards, it just stands there so the golem's fine I guess. Ash still sux tho. :x

I actually find the Ice and Rocky Mountain stages to be more troublesome than Ash, mainly because I have a harder time controlling the boulder in those stages. I used to be scared of Ash when I was watching vtubers fail at it so many times, but when I got to try it myself it was actually pretty easy as long as I take it slow. I've since finished the game 5 times and Ash rarely gives me any problems.

Maybe the one area that I haven't completely figured out yet is that part in the Obsidian stage where there are 3 balls in a row on each side moving back and forth. I know I have to weave it through the center, but sometimes I still get the timing off. Of course this is only a problem with the default and heavier balls because of the slow movement. With the Emerald and Sapphire, it's not an issue.

Well for me it's my nemesis. I've given up 5 different runs with different ball types all because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ash. I get there, and the ball always ends up being nudged slightly too far to the side to hold and rolling all the way back down, usually right through the previous 1-4 areas too. -3-

Also annoying trivia: If you get flinched by Ash floor while moving the camera, the camera will keep spinning until the animation fully finishes.

It's a nightmare where the floor makes you flinch and the wood is raised and it's ULTRA easy for your ball to go flying down all the way back 1-4 zones. >_<

Oh, haha. There are lots of free/easy zones, so Ash can stay imo. It's cool.

It can't though! D: Seriously I can only beat that stinker reliably with the beach ball. Drives me up the wall, I'd rather play the entire rest of the game without any walls than play through Ash.
