How do you play this game?

I played exit 8 and loved it and was exited to play more of it but when i saw the anomalies i tried to go back (it was the rising water one) and i died and it wouldn't open to go back, do i just walk threw the exit as quick as possible? idk how to play this game :(

nvm, i figured it out :) for those who have the same problem as me, look at the eltric signs above doors to know how far you have progressed. going threw normal cars does not progress, there will be instructions somewere in the level to pass threw. you can only go forward
