Theres like nobody on multiplayer. It will just keep searching and searching for like 1 hour AND this is crossplay except minus mobile platform they discontinued.

I really loved this game but the only way to play is to play offline single player.

Which is disheartening, because nearly everything you unlock on this game requires you to be playing in multiplayer. I don't think you get any rewards for doing single player content?

You do, EXCEPT the resist and discipline amulets. But they are slower then normal multiplayer games. But I guess the speed of AI only games kinda makes up for it. I just hate how bad the AI is at this game, so it makes the dying multiplayer of this game more disheartening.

This game is almost ten years old, it had to "die" eventually.
I'm sure you'll find interested players via Discord.

With that being said, I don't find playing with random people very appealing. At best, maybe one or two will join my existing friend group for games; otherwise, no interest.

There's also a tourni that a team put together, with a bracket and some fun prizes.
Best way to play is to bring friends along, and then inform the group that you're looking for some more players. (Beware: some reviews say this game ruins friendships lol)

Not sure if it's just because it's the weekend or why; but I played 3 multiplayer games today (Sunday afternoon - Germany) with a wait time of under 5 minutes (probably around 2) for each.

I wouldn't say it's dead. It seems random. Today I got a match in 1 minute, yesterday I couldn't get any at all. I mostly play against AI since it's much faster and people on the game can be toxic and leave or vote for other people out of spite even thought they literally did nothing at all the whole game. If anyone wants to play for fun, feel free to add/message me. I love this game and have played since it first came out.
