Are skins unlockable?

Hello. New to the community, as it were - only got the game yesterday. Noticed some skins in the in-game microtransation shop - are those purchase only or can they be unlocked through play?

Also, could people explain the whole "chests" and "keys" thing? I'm not familiar with that system.

After online multi, you will gain a key or a chest. When you have 1 of both in the same collection(actual is terrible collection), you will recieve by opening the chest:

1dice or 1 skin fragment. More often dice, but you can still get a fragment, and you need 5 fragment of the se clan to get 1 random heroic skin of that clan

They are! After each multiplayer game (this caps at around six i think?), you'll get a coin flip, with a chest on one side and a key on the other. When you get a chest and key, you can go into your in game inventory, and there should be a button labled "open" where it takes you to a new screen. From there you can drag the key to the chest and you'll either get a die from the current collection, or a hero skin fragment. When you get five of the same clan fragment, you can transmogriph them using the button labled so that appears when you select something in your inventory, and you should get a random skin!

Yes, it is. I have already unlocked two skins (Amber and Magna).

Does that only work when playing against random players? I've done plenty of games with friends and haven't received any keys or chests.

you have to at least have one random player with you i believe!

You need at least one random player in a multiplayer game to receive the coin toss. Also the loot has a cap to it: I think it is max. 6 drops a day...after that you wont get any more coin tosses for the day.
