pathfinding on fragemnt in motion

i have tried the mission "fragments in motion" 6 times now, and the pathfinding, parameters need to be adjusted some how? on 3 of the tries i have gotten rufus teague to the destination, however ships i need to destroy either flee the area, or spawn outside of the area meaning i cant kill them with out finishing the mission. Of the other 3 attempts teague after pairin with him has flown me out of the area causing me to fail the mission, flown me in to a mooon killing me and causing me to fail the mission, or flown me into a planet killing himself and me causing me to fail the mission >.<

As a backup - you can also blow up the poor guy and just take it :P

yeahhh, thought about it, but just trying to be a good guy, i ended up completing the missoin the 7th try, granted it may have something to do with me tricking all those grell in to some how flying into a moon/planet near the station, but not being picky on how i complete the mission ^.^

Yhea tried the mission now...somehow flew in the planet o_o after destroying everyone he wont go to the station. Bevor we reached the station we nearly flew into the sun...halfe an hour later he found the path ...
