ERROR IN UNCOMPRESSING DATA FOR FILE
ERROR IN UNCOMPRESSING DATA FOR FILE
Error is blank

Any help with this one? Seems to have happened with torchlight 2. I've verified content and reinstalled many times... no help.

I can't get past the main loading screen before this error hits

I have not seen anyone else with this error. It must be happening to someone else...

I just received this error on one of the data files for a dreadnaut model.

Unfortunately, the error blinked on screen for just a second after CTD and I didn't catch the full file name.

Verifying the file integrity immediately afterwards found no problems.

If there are error log files, I'll be happy to post/e-mail them. I just need to know where they are.

Basically this error occurs if it pulls data from the package and tries to decompress it and ZLib says that it is garbage. About the only way I know for that to happen is for it to actually BE garbage. I'm not sure if the cache integrity check for Steam is just not always working (I've had someone who had to do it several times before it 'took') but...

That's pretty much what I figured, and the error has not reoccurred for me. Not sure if the validate helped or not, since it didn't seem to find anything. But it never hurts to run it!

Thanks for the reply. Other than this one-time error and one lockup (due to a non-related GPU issue), Rebel Galaxy has been running fine on my system (All AMD, 16GB DDR3, Win7 64-bit PRO).

Thanks for answering! I'll try verifiying a few times. I've been working my ass off the last copule days so have not tried to play yet.

Yea, Still happening. I can get into the game now but cannot go to warp or anything before the error appears and crash. I'll keep trying.
