Hope to see more ships in the near by future.
[Also plz find a way to make escort missions with the escort ships following us, that would make them better and less of a drag.]
Get well and safe flight.
I like the mention of possibly being able to skip the launcher. It hasn't bothered me but I've read a few posts from people who really do find it grating so it's nice to see that's on the slate.
Good luck with it.
Second, I have a question. Do missions spawn enemies based around what your equipment is?
Because if that is the case, it would explain everything about my sudden insane difficulty spike in the MK4-MK5 range of the game.
I'd take a Low difficulty mission, in a low threat system, that sold MK4 gear tops. Then the mission enemies would feel super tough compared to normal... and drop MK5, sometimes MK6 weapons. My very first MK6 weapon was a pulse turret, dropped in a mission taken from a MK4 tops system.
This all started happening right around when I thought It was clever to buy MK5 shields/deflectors/hull early. While I Still had mK3 engine parts, and my weapons were a split between MK3 and MK4.
Suggestion for this: Add an option for "skip launcher on startup". Can be checked/unchecked both in the launcher itself and the in-game settings menu. When it's on, the launcher automatically just starts the game up with your current settings. When it's off it displays the launcher.
I'm not sure how easy that is to implement, but it seems like a good way to include it in the UI.
EDIT: I should probably not be posting ideas when I haven't slept for 20 hours... lol
Actually your idea is more user friendly as it has been my experience that a lot of users don't like messing with command line start options.
