Weapon drop

I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of enemy drops a Viridian Laser because earlier in the game, I think I killed a pirate lord and he dropped a Mk1 Viridian Laser which was a beast of a beam weapon. Since then, I've never found any good weapon drop from pirate lords.

Generally speaking you can get Viridian lasers from pirate lords, from "special cargo crates" as well as (correct me if I'm wrong) from any higher profile enemy, but with a very low chance for all three.

Special cargo crates can sometimes be found by hacking transponders to find coordinates, or can be sometimes just found randomly.

Personally I have found 3 viridian lasers of ranks one, two and three over around 24 hours of gameplay on two difrent saves.

There is only limited kind of weapon and equipment in the starting sector's stations... (I belive, there is other sectors, right?)...

do you find more weapons, more equipment at the other sectors?

go to stations under a "Korian Siege" there is a fair change to get one as a drop there, tho its not easy to do so be careful
