Stuck- Primary Mission: Fragment Recovery in Hermes
I am stuck on the Fragment Recovery in Hermes mission.

It asks to pulse scan the tetrahedrite at close proximity to detect the fragment.

I have flown around the entire asteroid field pulse scanning, used mining lasers to destroy all of the asteroids, jumped to a different system and returned (it respawned the asteroids) but still cannot locate the fragment.

Anyone else seen this? I am stuck from progressing in the main mission.
Thanks!

Same here, can't seem to find an answer

Same here. I pulsed every single asteroid, and then destroyed them right afterwards. Took a couple hours. This is the 2nd story mission that has left me wondering if the devs even playtested some of these missions. Very frustration... especially since Trell says "Pulse scan them to narrow it down". I don't see any "narrowing down" happening.

Figured it out, i found the rock randomly, then just used pulse again and the mission triggered.

I had originally gave the game a scathing review, but decided to give it a second chance after a couple save game snafus. I was enjoying it for the last week or more and suddenly hit this mission. After spending two hours on it, I gave up the game and now I'm moving on to Blackguards. Maybe after this mission is fixed I'll come back, but I don't want to spend several hours running around an asteroid belt looking for one little blip.

Ummm I did it with no problems? I got to the mission point, pulsed, found the rock, blew it up lol and recovered it.

I've gone through and blown up nearly every asteroid, then pulsed the entire field, trying to get as close as possible to each rock, even following the advice of one person and looking for the ones on the same plane as my ship, still no luck, so off to something else.

I pulsed the rock and found it, picked the fragment up and killed all the lightborne, pulsed for any more lightborne (there was none). The mission was still asking me to pick up the fragment even though there is nothing there

First time I tried this mission I couldn't find the rock. 2nd time I found it immediately and then got killed by the lightborne. I played other missions for a while to upgrade, now came back and the mission doesn't even trigger when I hit the waypoint. This mission seems to have some serious bugs.

I had this happen. What I figured out is not scanning every asteroid, but getting really close to the mission target marker and then trigger the pulse scan.

As I speak I'm trying to finish this mission. As soon as I arrived I pulsed and found the piece, I went to it (very close) I destroyed the asteroid, then picked up the piece, only to be interrupted by these religious nuts. Now the mission still stands. was this game a waste of time?

on a whim I just flew to the nearest hostile (50sm away) and killed all the cartel there, then the mission completed

I'm in the exact same situation. This game sucks in so many ways. Way to f uck up a good idea for a game, as usual.

The solution is to scan at the mission target point, as was said before.
What a stupid design to tell the player the opposite of what needs to be done.
