Heh yeah, it's like this game's hardmode. Gotta be uber careful with my position and stuff. Ol' Rasputin ain't a dreadnaught. lol I know some people have done a hammerhead run before. I guess it is possible, but I want to see how far I can get with a fully upgraded Hammerhead personally.
Diehard Tennhausen captains should take a serious look at this.
I also like the turret layout on the ship. It has 3 on top, 2 on the left, and 2 on the right. I put mining lasers on the left and right turrets and set them to attack fighters only, and then put particle beams on the top and set them to attack my current target. I bought the neutron broadside and I can't wait to see it rip apart capitals with all the lasers.
I'm going to save for the upgrade that reduces heat buildup on laser turrets. Hopefully that will help a lot too.
It has a face.
I see it as the Serenity (Firefly class) with guns :P
same if it only had more turrets :)
But here is the REAL reason I love it. It is so narrow, fast, and manueverable that I can charge at an enemy ship while dodging it's broadsides (no, really!) and open up on it from point blank with broadside, torpedos, and mining lasers while still at full shields.
It takes smarter flying than the Tennhausen, but you will feel like a true space cowboy.
