Just saying MMO does have some advantages, especially if you have the friends I do :) The thing I like most about games is the fact that I can play it with my friends, thats all.
So you got your solo game and all I ask is for them to maybe hopefully consider bringing a MMO or even multiplayer version, in some distant future... who knows, right....
Oh and I want a PVE version, I am done with EVE after 7 years, I have had enough PVP :P
Also consider this is a 2 man team. Creating a MMO would takes years. I rather see more games from them next year then having to wait years for them :D
I hope you are not suggesting that some sort of correlation between having friends and enjoying MMOs - because otherwise I would feel very sorry for you.
Um there kind of is a correlation there. Listen I don't agree with the guy at all as far as this game goes. Rebel Galaxy is perfect as single player. MMO's though are much, much more fun with friends. You would honestly be the first person I've ever seen say otherwise.
I think you're looking at it backwards. I'm pretty sure Mitth'raw'nuruodo was worried about the possible claim that not enjoying MMOs means you don't have friends, not that having friends can make MMOs more fun. I have plenty of friends who don't play MMOs. No matter how many friends like that I have, none of those people are going to make any MMO they don't want to play any more fun for me.
That said, I'm looking at the post that had originally been quoted and it looks more to me like the claim was that with the right group of friends, MMO games have a particular draw that other games don't. No claim that those friends are "better", just that they tend to make that kind of game feel really awesome.
Yeah you're probably right man as that does make more sense. Surely that's what he meant.
Agreed, could not have put it better myself, good job :)
