Skip the launcher?
Please tell me there's a way to skip the launcher and go straight to the game.

Am I really the only person who wants to launch the game directly from Steam?

That would be really useful, I'd love to see it happen in a future update.

yea i cant control anything on the launcher with my controller

Should be doable - if you fiddle with the steam commands. There is a rebelgalaxy.exe (or rough equivalent thereof) that lives in the game folder. Once you've you configured your game, you should be able to launch that directly.

I don't see any way in steam to make it skip the launcher. I could add the standalone as a non-steam program, but would Steam still track my played time if I did that?

There *must* be a command line option or something for the launcher to just run the game. Right?

You can run the game "rebelgalaxysteam.exe" but youll have no ability to adjust your display settings.

+1, PLEASE make a command line option to skip the launcher...

Note that the launcher is navigable with the gamepad if you're playing that way, and you can just hit A and immediately launch... Not sure if that's helpful to you though. The whole menu is navigable with the dpad and shoulder buttons for changing dropdown settings.

There's your command line option,

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RebelGalaxy\RebelGalaxySteam.exe

Amateurs.

also can set the launcher options in

%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Double DamageGames\RebelGalaxy\local_settings.txt

use at your own risk, if you don't feel comfortable ask a grown up.

ok, 1) ♥♥♥♥ you very much, matalus. 2) i like playing this over gamestream on my tv, hate the damn launcher popping up, and dont want to add a non-steam game entry to my steam list FOR A STEAM GAME just to get around a damn launcher i should only ever see ONE TIME without selecting it as a launch option.

Command line function to add to the game while booting for this would be nice. Devs confirmed in one of the other threads that it currently doesn't exist. Maybe they'll add that, but I don't know.

you're talking about an argument or a parameter

such as

-debug
-nolauncher
-console

I dumps the strings on the executable, only param I could find was -winconsole, which seems to launch the game with a cmd line console showing your meshes loading etc.

Yeah, those things. It's 8am here, I'm usually in bed by now. My sleep patterns have been a bit messed up the last few days, I keep forgetting to go to bed because I'm playing this awesome new game called Rebel Galaxy. You might have heard of it :P
