yes you got the game on sale, and there has been sale on the game a lot, but the game always maintained the same base price the entire time. If the developers never felt it was needed to drop the price of their 4 year old game, outside of sales, then there is no reason for them to drop the price of RGO when it comes to Steam, and that is ok. So fully plan on it being listed at the current base price when it comes to Steam.
The game should come to Steam cheaper than it is on the EGS, because it'll be old news at that point. Eisberg even agrees with me, since he can't defend any other position in regards to it.
While I can understand your disregard for people having opinions about companies that are not steam, It is within their right to have their opinions about the companies in question..
Also while I personally have no problems with purchasing games from Epic, nor their business practices of getting exclusivity for a set period of time, It is quite understandable why so many see this as a major issue..
The simple fact is that resorting to telling people who have issue to "grow up" is rather childish in and of itself..
Then again this whole discussion has gone down the toilet in the past 800 some odd comments so whatcha gonna do :P
If it came to GoG i would have no problem or if it came to every platform but Steam im still ok with that but going to one platform is giving us the same problem consoles have and im not a PC gamer to be forced to use something worse than what i have.
I would think deleting saves would be enough of a reason to not want to use Epic but dont worry there are lots of other reasons.
Same problems as consoles? Since when you do you have to buy whole new hardware in order to play games on Epic? I'm playing RGO right now, and I didn't have to buy any new hardware in order to use EGS at all. So nope, not the same problems as Console at all, no where close, actually not the same at all.
Saves were only being deleted because people were choosing the wrong option when there was a save game conflict for cloud saving, Epic gives an option to choose when there are conflicts, the same exact way as what Steam does.
a problem with Console exclusives is you have to buy the hardware in order to play that exclusive, that is not a problem with PC exclusives. That is the problem that people have been talking about with console exclusives for years, and nothing about "fragmented collections and friends list".
Once again, as per the usual for you, you are wrong.
The terms "Console Wars on PC" is hardly new, and has been a mainstay of the Epic vs. Steam discussion since it all started, and with good reason; exclusives are something consoles first pioneered. Why, you'd have to have your head under a rock in order to not know anything about this!
Yes, and the console problem was having to pay several hundreds of $ on different hardware in order to play a game, which is massively different than downloading a free piece of software. People started to use the "console war" in a desperate attempt to add more smoke and mirrors to what they were really crying about, which again, is nothing more than "I don't want another icon on my desktop"
not to mention that after the year or however long the exclusivity is gives time for early release patches to be added to the product for when it does come elsewhere
