Animal AI NavMesh 1337 no rcContour
So I am part of a large role playing community that runs a life is feudal server. Our server has about 30 players average at any time.

Unfortunately we are unable to run animals on our server, which is greatly effecting the way the game is played. GM's have to hand out animals and such.

When we try to launch the server with animals enabled, this message fills the logs and the server crashes before it can finish loading the Navmesh:

No contours in rcContourSet for NavMesh 1337

The server then automatically restarts and begins to hit the same issue in endless loops.

I would much appreciate any help, as this is greatly hindering the experience of all players.

I can confirm this is an issue, It causes continual Loops making the server impossible to launch without setting the Animal spawns to 0.

It seems this person here has the same issue.

Can you run the update on your server again?

The same problem, but it feels like it is not an issue. It works for me, read more for informations.
So, I started the server after a huge break from life is feudal.
Thought, my ♥♥♥♥ was outdated. So, I have done a complete fresh install of all my components (Server files and XAMPP).
Then I started the server fresh again and there were still the weird lines.
But I let it went for 10+ mins. And here we go, it works.
Just let the server do his work !

We've tried that. It does the same thing over and over constantly crashing. Navmesh unpacks to 112k and crashes, server restarts, crashes again.

Hi, please if you have time, try to reproduce this on a beta branch 1.1.7.0 dropped out today. Nav mesh generation should be significantly faster.

It wasn't that the Navmesh generation was slow. It was the fact that it never finished without crashing. It would unpack to around 130000 tiles and then crash the server. This would repeat over and over.

I am able to start my own server and it works fine.

I understand, in the beta patch nav mesh granularity decreased and it should be less buggy in all ways.

Our server now unpacks to 2000 tiles before crashing. This is still an issue with this new patch.

Please contact me, I want to investigate this issue directly.
