How can I open the console?
left ctrl + ~
Zuletzt bearbeitet von Arrakis; 22. Aug. 2015 um 15:54
Depending on what keyboard layout you are using those keys vary. This seems to be an old problem[www.garagegames.com] with Torque, and apparently hasn't fixed yet.

I can confirm that the key to open the console on the German keyboard layout is indeed the "ö" key.

Thank you!!! This is amazing and you are awesome for posting this!!
seems to me as if they fixed it to the hardware-keyboard-id of that button instead to a character or sign

How do join another server while i'm already in game? Right now it only works if I restart the game so I can get back to the menu.

If you are creating a server on your own PC, it will be your external IP that is actually being leased to your router. In order to discover that IP, go to whatismyip.com. After that you may need to open a set of ports on your router, the same ports that your server is using (i.e. 28000).

Opening ports is a different process, depending on your router's manufacturer and firmware. Most of the time, you will log into your router via web browser, aimed to your computer's deafult gateway address (usually 192.168.1.1), but that address can be different depending on router manufacturer. To find your gateway address on windows machines, simply open a command prompt (run: "cmd") and type "ipconfig" then press enter. This will display your computer's local IP address, along with the gateway address and other addresses which you won't need.

Than you for trying to answer the question, but you aren't answering the question everyone is asking.

You answered the question on how someone running a server knows their own server's IP address.

What everyone is asking is: If I found a server on the server list, how do I know what it's IP address is so that I can use the joinToRemoteServer command.

Ask the server Admin?

I don't understand why you'd need to use the connect to remote option if you already see the server in the list you want to join. In that case why wouldn't you just use the Join button?

Because you've found a server you like, but searching the entire server list to find it again is time consuming. And some server admins don't like to let people know they are GM for all the whining for handouts/favors, so it isn't always clear who the admin is.

Now can someone answer the question?
