Can't init steam module???

When i try to launch the game I get an error message saying "Can't init steam module. Exiting"
I only just installed the game so I don't understand what is happening. I have all the system requirements and are running windows 8.1. Hope someone knows what is going on..

Hello, at the moment i'm writing this comment i can see you're playing LiF (in-game status) Could you please confirm that your issue was resolved?

Yes the issue was solved. Upon completing my download it was having errors with steam. after restarting my Pc it fixed the issue :):)
